How Ultherapy® Works
Over the years, the collagen and elastin content of the skin diminishes – the tissue becomes increasingly slack and loses its firmness. Typical signs include drooping eyebrows, wrinkles on the face, neck, or cleavage, and loss of contours around the chin or neck. Ultherapy® can help counteract these signs of aging. The skin tightening effect works from the inside. Micro-focused ultrasound energy penetrates the skin tissue without damaging the outer layers and acts at a depth of up to 4.5 mm. This is the tissue layer typically tightened in a surgical facelift.
Ultherapy® stimulates the production of fresh collagen and elastin in the skin. The final results become visible after a period of 2–3 months, delighting with a younger appearance and firmer contours. Further improvement can occur up to 6 months after treatment.
