Biostimulation
Biostimulation
Biostimulation refers to the stimulation of the body’s own production of new collagen and elastin. This process is highly efficiently stimulated by Radiesse, a biodegradable filler, which leads to a natural improvement in skin quality and tissue tightening.
Radiesse consists of tiny calcium hydroxylapatite spheres, the same substance that makes up bones. These spheres activate a kind of wound-healing process that results in increased formation of connective tissue.
In a slightly different way, CO2 lasers, micro-focused ultrasound (Ultherapy), as well as microneedling and radiofrequency (Infini), also have a similar effect. Tiny wounds under the skin lead to a pronounced regeneration of connective tissue. The result is complete skin rejuvenation.
Biostimulation can be applied to the entire body.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING BIOSTIMULATION?
First, the area to be treated is precisely defined and the ideal procedure is thoroughly explained. The procedures are made as painless as possible.
Radiesse, which can also be diluted (diluted Radiesse) depending on the treatment goal, is finely distributed under the skin to achieve optimal regeneration. Initially, wrinkles are softened by the building effect and missing volume is compensated. This leads to a sustainable improvement in skin quality and a natural tightening. Thanks to the use of especially fine and blunt micro-needles, the procedure is extremely gentle and minimally invasive.
CO2 lasers, Infini, and Ultherapy work on a similar principle: the CO2 laser creates the smallest column-shaped injuries in the top layers of the skin. Crusts may be visible for up to 10 days after treatment. Infini and Ultherapy also cause a wound-healing stimulus, but the upper layers of the skin remain largely intact. In the case of Ultherapy, it can be treated up to a tissue depth of 5 mm. After treatment with Infini or Ultherapy, only slight redness and swelling are usually visible, and patients are immediately socially acceptable.
Biostimulation, therefore, improves the skin’s appearance by stimulating natural bodily processes.
WHERE IS BIOSTIMULATION USED? Biostimulation can be used on the entire body depending on the patient’s wishes.
WHAT TO CONSIDER FOR A GOOD RESULT?
After treatment, you should avoid UV light for 4 weeks. Occasional small bruises can be easily covered with makeup. The results are long-lasting.
BIORERIVATISATION AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO BOTOX?
Biorevitilization is an advanced cosmetic procedure that provides the skin with targeted injections of small amounts of hyaluronic acid, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants. This “vaccine” hydrates the skin and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, thereby improving local circulation. Therefore, biorevitalization is also known as biostimulation or bio-lifting.
Biorevitalization is mainly used in the anti-aging area to improve the appearance of dry or dull skin and to combat the signs of aging. The treatment focuses mainly on the face but can also be applied to the neck, hands, and décolleté.
Although hyaluronic acid is considered the most important and basic ingredient, there is no standard formula for biorevitalization. Each doctor decides which “cocktail” of bio-revitalizing agents is preferred.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does biostimulation work?
These specific substances are intended to help combat the process of skin aging in various ways.
- Firstly, they increase the moisture content of the skin, thereby giving it immediate more elasticity and fullness.
- In addition, they stimulate the metabolic activity of fibroblasts, which in turn promotes the endogenous production of collagen – the protein that forms the supporting structure of the skin.
- Moreover, these substances also offer protection against free radicals and their harmful effects on the elastic and protein fibers of the dermis.
How often should biorevitalization be performed?
The number of required treatments depends on the desired results and can be performed up to four times at intervals of 2-4 weeks. A collagen therapy can also be done as a single treatment.
- For long-lasting effects, another repetition of the therapy is recommended after three to six months.
