Brief overview of lasers in aesthetic medicine:

“The Ruby Laser addresses skin discolorations, primarily used for black tattoos and brown spots/age spots on hands and arms. The Nd Laser is suitable (even for brown skin) for treating port wine stains, telangiectasias, spider veins, unwanted hair growth, and gently treating nail fungus. The Tattoo Star Y Laser removes colored tattoos. The fractional CO2 Laser specializes in gentle procedures with rapid and excellent wound healing. It treats precancerous skin lesions, certain types of non-melanoma skin cancer, and benign tumors. We remove stretch marks, skin tags, and age spots, improve scars, and achieve outstanding biological skin renewal on the face and décolleté. The Dye Laser eliminates spider veins, dilated blood vessels on the face, and improves scars. Intense pulsed light (IPL) removes unwanted hair and is also used for skin rejuvenation.”
